If you just “beat” Escape the Undertaker and destroyed his urn, you might be asking yourself, “What happens if you don’t keep the power vial?”, a relevant question considering it seems to play a big role in your destruction of the urn.
If you leave the power vial inside the book where you find it, you’ll still be prompted with the final choice to either destroy or grab the urn, only this time, if you try to destroy the urn without the power vial, Big E strikes it with his hammer, and rather than destroy it, simply damages it.
This is still enough to teleport you back to safety, but not enough to make The Undertaker disappear, who now spies on you, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E, from his security cameras as you all leave.
Using the power vial to destroy the urn is the only way to get Escape the Undertaker’s good ending, complete with uplifiting outro music and credits. (You’ll also get a credits sequence at the very start if you tell Undertaker you are too afraid of his urn)
Another alternate ending can be found by following Kofi into the secret passage way and choosing to immediately confront The Undertaker, who proceeds to knock you out.
“Escape the Undertaker” doesn’t really have any ways for you to die or fail, as most choices eventually lead to the same outcome, and the few that do allow you to immediately rewind to the decision you messed up.
The three other endings can be found by ‘giving into your fear’ as whatever member of ‘The New Day’ you chose to have face their fear. If you ‘give in’, that character will secretly pledge allegiance to The Undertaker, and when you get to the ‘final boss‘ scene, you’ll watch helplessly as they betray you, harness the power, and help Undertaker take your souls.
